What is it?

Epiduo Gel 0.1% is a prescription-strength topical treatment designed to effectively manage mild to moderate acne. This gel combines two potent active ingredients: Adapalene (a retinoid) and Benzoyl Peroxide, which work together to clear existing acne while preventing future breakouts. Adapalene promotes skin cell turnover, reducing pore blockages and improving overall skin texture, while Benzoyl Peroxide provides antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects to target acne-causing bacteria directly.

Key Benefits:

  • Clears and Prevents Acne: Epiduo Gel unblocks pores, reduces redness, and helps prevent new spots from forming.
  • Anti-inflammatory & Antibacterial Action: Benzoyl Peroxide kills acne-causing bacteria while reducing inflammation, effectively treating both inflamed and non-inflamed acne lesions.
  • Improves Skin Texture and Tone: Adapalene may reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and improve pigmentation issues, such as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (darkened spots left after acne).
  • Targets Scarring: Consistent use can also improve the appearance of acne scars, promoting a more even skin texture.

Dosage & Usage:

  • Epiduo Gel: Apply a thin layer to the affected area once daily, preferably in the evening. Make sure the skin is clean and dry before application, and avoid applying to broken skin.
  • Note for Sensitive Skin: If you experience mild irritation or dryness, start by applying every other night, gradually increasing as your skin adjusts.

Duration:

Visible improvement can often be seen within a few weeks of consistent use. For the best results, continue using Epiduo Gel daily for a minimum of 3 months or as directed by your healthcare provider.
