Eurax Cream

Eurax cream is a fast and effective treatment which provides long-lasting relief for you and your family. Eurax helps bring comfort to the distress of skin itching and irritation. It provides fast-acting itching relief (within 30 minutes), long-lasting relief from itching for all day or night and quick absorption in a non-greasy formulation.

Eurax contains Crotamiton 10% which is an antipruritic (anti-itch) and antiparasitic (it is toxic to the scabies mite). Crotamiton also relieves itching by producing what is called a counter-irritation. As crotamiton evaporates from the skin, it produces a cooling effect. This cooling effect helps to divert your body's attention away from the itching.

• Apply to the affected area 2-3 times daily.
• Eurax cream will provide relief from irritation for 6 to10 hours after each application.

•        For external use only.

•        Eurax Cream can be used for children; However, for children under three years of age usage should only be under medical supervision.

•        Should not be used in the mouth and in or around the eyes since contact with the eyelids may give rise to conjunctival inflammation. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, or mouth rinse thoroughly with running water.

•        Should not be applied in the presence of open wounds, acute eczema, broken skin, or very inflamed skin. 

•        Eurax Cream contains Stearyl alcohol, Methyl hydroxybenzoate and SLS which may cause local skin and/or allergic reactions.

•        This medicine contains fragrance with benzyl alcohol (0.0187%), benzyl benzoate(0.0047%), citral, citronellol, coumarin, d-limonene, eugenol, geraniol and linalool which may cause allergic reactions.

•        Do not smoke or go near naked flames – risk of severe burns.

We would not advise to use this medication in pregnancy or breastfeeding as there are probably safer and more effective alternative treatments available in these situations.

Active Ingredients: Crotamiton 10%

Other Ingredients: Methyl hydroxybenzoate, Phenylethyl alcohol, Glycerol, Triethanolamine, Sodium lauryl sulphate (0.45%w/w), Ethylene glycol monostearate, Stearyl alcohol, Strong ammonia solution 25%, Stearic acid, Hard paraffin, White beeswax, Perfume (contains geraniol, citronellol, coumarin, benzyl alcohol (0.0187%), benzyl benzoate (0.0047%), citral, d-limonene, eugenol, linalool) and Purified water.

Uncommon Side effects (affecting 0.1%-1% of people): Pruritis
Rare Side effects (affecting up to 0.01% of people): Contact dermatitis, hypersensitivity (like rash, eczema, redness, skin irritation).
