The Psoriasis Association
The leading UK charity for people affected by psoriasis. They run a free helpline service and have a sister website ‘Psoteen’ for teenagers and young people with psoriasis. Their website contains a good section on ‘Living with Psoriasis’- dealing with the practicalities of living with psoriasis in relation to employment, triggers and itching.

A useful fact sheet listing the names and potency of common brands of steroid containing preparations in the UK and their generic drug name. Contains a diagram on how much steroid cream/ ointment to apply depending on body part and age.

A useful chart compiled by Dr George Moncrieff GPSI Dermatology- it lists different brands of common UK creams, ointments and lotions with unbiased information on recommendations and ingredients.

The flagship website of the UK’s Primary Care Dermatology Website. Designed for healthcare professionals with succinct guidance on diagnosis, treatment and management of a variety of dermatological conditions.
Quality Standards for Teledermatology
A document designed by Primary Care Commissioning and with input from various dermatology institutions such as BAD, outlining the standards that should be attained when conducting a remote service that cares for people with skin conditions.
‘Teledermatology refers to the use of static digital images to triage, diagnose, monitor or assess skin conditions without the patient being physically present. By taking advantage of available technologies, teledermatology can also improve productivity while providing the same level of access to high quality care.’
GRIFT (Getting it Right First Time) Report
In 2021, consultant dermatologist Dr Nick Levell compiled a report into the current UK dermatological landscape. 1 in 4 people in England and Wales see their GP about a dermatological condition every year- 13.2million! The report made recommendations on how we can help millions of patients get faster and more equal access to healthcare no matter what your postcode.
Measures included improving undergraduate training for pharmacists, something that we can resonate with at DigiDerm as prescribing pharmacists. Another recommendation was making greater use of new technology and encouraging the uptake of digital technology- again, something that DigiDerm are passionate about!
