Acnecide Gel

This leave-on gel treatment is a good first choice to treat mild acne and it is often combined with other prescription only acne treatments to help reduce the amount of acne bacteria on your skin. It helps reduce the number of spots, sebum and redness on your skin and is great at reducing the amount of acne breakouts. Once you start using it you may notice a reduction spot size and redness within hours, but maximum effect is not likely to be reached unless you use it every day for several weeks.

It contains benzoyl peroxide which is an anti-acne ingredient that is anti-inflammatory, anti-sebum and anti-comedonal.

• Apply in a thin layer once or twice daily or as directed to the affected areas.
• People with sensitive skin should apply the gel once daily before going to bed.
• We recommend starting to use it on alternate days first and then slowly build up to once or twice a day- this gives your skin time to adapt, and it is less likely to cause irritation.
• Before each application, the skin should be cleaned and dried.

•    Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
•    For external use only and avoid contact with the eyes.
•    Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight or UV radiation.
•    Do not apply to damaged skin.
•    If your condition deteriorates despite therapy, then stop and seek medical advice.
•    Do not use with other products that contain benzoyl peroxide or may cause skin peeling or irritation.

Other Ingredients: Docusate Sodium, Disodium Edetate, Poloxamer 182, Carbomer 940, Propylene Glycol, Acrylates Copolymer, Glycerol, Colloidal Anhydrous Silica, Purified Water and Sodium Hydroxide.

Shelf Life: 2 years

Very Common Side effects (affecting >10% of people): Dry skin, Erythema, Skin exfoliation (peeling), Skin burning sensation
Common Side effects (affecting 1%- 10% of people): Pruritus (Itching), Pain of skin (pain, stinging), Skin irritation (irritant contact dermatitis)
Uncommon Side effects (affecting 0.1%-1% of people): Allergic contact dermatitis
