Enstilar Foam

• Shake the canister for a few seconds prior to use.
• Hold can at least 3cm from the skin.
• Spray directly onto each affected skin area and rubbing in gently.
• If using for scalp psoriasis, Entsilar should be sprayed to the palm of the hand initially and applied to the desired areas of the scalp using the fingertips.
• Hands should be washed after applying Enstilar (unless your hands are the area you are treating).
• Avoid showering too soon after applying and allow Enstilar to absorb into the skin. Preferably over night or throughout the day.
• Spraying the can for 2 seconds will provide a dose of around 0.5g of Enstilar. This should cover an area the size of an adult hand.

Flare Treatment
Apply to affected areas once daily. Usually for one month. Progress is generally reviewed by the prescriber at this time.

Long-term maintenance treatment
Apply twice weekly on two non-consecutive days. It is recommended to leave at least 2-3 days between uses.

•        Avoid applying to areas of broken or damaged skin and avoid using for long periods (>4weeks) without a break or review from a healthcare professional.

•        Silkis Ointment can be applied to the face, but caution should be used, as there is increased risk of irritation in this area.

•        Silkis ointment should not come into contact with the eyes. If the product enters the eye, wash immediately with warm water.

•        Avoid using more than 30g per day of Silkis Ointment. 

•        Avoid smoking or going near naked flames. Fabric that has been in contact with Silkis will burn more easily, increasing risk of severe burns.

Active Ingredients: calcipotriol monohydrate 50micrograms/g + betamethasone 0.5mg/gOther Ingredients: Liquid paraffin, Polyoxypropylene stearyl ether, All-rac-α-tocopherol, White soft paraffin, Butylhydroxytoluene (E321), Butane, Dimethyl ether.

Shelf Life: 2 years. 

After first opening: 6 months.

Uncommon Side effects (affecting 0.1%-1% of people):
Allergic reaction, worsening or flare up of psoriasis after treatment has stopped, a rise in calcium levels in the blood, skin irritation, redness and swelling of the hair roots (folliculitis), loss of skin colour.
