What is it?

Diprosalic Ointment is a prescription-only medication tailored for managing psoriasis with thickened, scaly patches. It combines two active ingredients:
  • Betamethasone Dipropionate: a potent corticosteroid that helps reduce inflammation, redness, and itching associated with psoriasis flares.
  • Salicylic Acid: a keratolytic agent that softens and breaks down hardened layers of skin, enhancing the absorption and effectiveness of the treatment on thick plaques.

Key Benefits:

  • Combines anti-inflammatory and keratolytic effects to target thick, scaly areas of psoriasis effectively.
  • Softens and removes hardened scales, allowing better penetration of the steroid component.
  • Effective in reducing symptoms like redness, scaling, and itching, particularly on areas with thick plaques.
  • Ointment formulation provides a moisturizing base suitable for dry and hardened patches.

Dosage & Usage:

  • Diprosalic Ointment: Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice daily, or as directed by your clinician. Avoid excessive application and use according to medical advice.

Duration:

Diprosalic Ointment is generally used until symptoms improve or as directed by a healthcare provider. Long-term or frequent use should only be under medical supervision to ensure safe and effective treatment.
