Dutasteride 0.5mg Capsules

Dutasteride 0.5mg capsules is a prescription-only medication which is used to treat hair loss in men. In one study with over 400 men, after 6 months of treatment, Dutasteride increased hair counts by over 100 hairs in a 1-inch diameter circle at the top of the head, compared to an increase of only 15 hairs with placebo (Harcha et al, 2014). The dose is 1 capsule a day, and it helps to reverse the hair loss process and promote hair regrowth. Dutasteride is not licensed for use as hair loss treatment in the UK, however, it is licensed for the treatment of other hormone-related conditions and is therefore known to be safe. If you understand and accept it is used “off-label” for hair loss treatment, it can still be prescribed to you.
